In one of the most "in your face" acts of defiance toward tradition-minded parents, Barack Obama has appointed the founder of the extreme group GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, to head up the office of Safe and Drug Free Schools in the federal Department of Education. Kevin Jennings, openly homosexual founder of what we believe is a child corruption group, is getting his reward for helping to raise money for the Obama campaign in 2008 from the "LGBT" community.
As Mission America has been reporting for years, GLSEN has a record of anti-Christian bigotry in its materials, recommended books, and special event days like the so-called "Day of Silence." This originates with Jennings, the openly homosexual son of a preacher who turned away from his faith and now twists Christian teachings to include acceptance of homosexuality. But the problems don't end there.
Among the books GLSEN recommends for students on its website, and even in Jennings own writings, there is tacit approval of sex between young teens and adults. See this detailed article for more information.
Jennings in one speech said, in discussing the values of traditional parents, "F---'em!" And this was in a church! He also wrote the foreword for the book Queering Elementary Education, which is just as bad as it sounds.

There are allegedly more than 4000 homosexual clubs in U.S. schools. How did we let this happen?? Homosexuality is high-risk, immoral and associated with lives of instability and dysfunction. We are abandoning our kids when we let these clubs flourish in schools, as if this is a benefit. There's nothing positive about homosexuality or gender confusion, and no one needs to be involved in this lifestyle. If only these kids were told the truth!
Why are there so many clubs? One big reason is BULLYING. That's right--but it's not what you think. The big bullies are homosexual activist groups and the ACLU.
The problem of bullying is being used as a way for homosexual activist teachers, administrators and outside groups to obtain funding for social engineering programs to re-educate students in the "right" opinions about homosexuality. This is predicted to improve the bullying situation, when in actuality, all we need to do is punish actual bullying whenever and wherever it happens. Schools already have the power to do that, so no new policies are needed---schools that DON'T promptly punish bullying need to be held accountable based on policies that already exist. We don't need to say yes to homosexual clubs. Every community has the right to say NO, even considering the federal 'Equal Access' law. In fact, this law may provide us exactly the tools needed to say no. The Equal Access Act allows exceptions for any activity that would disrupt the school climate or endanger the well-being of students. Need we say more about homosexual clubs?
Get ready for schools to gear up their open endorsement of homosexuality and even encourage kids to protest in support of homosexual "marriage"' since there are now five states that have legalized pretend "marriage" between two men or two women: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Iowa, and Maine. California's situation depends on an upcoming court decision--because homosexual activists refused to honor the vote of the people in November 2008.
Activists are simply taking the law into their own hands. An example ( one of many) is the vicious Prop 8 protest effort in California last fall and winter. Voters in that state as well as Arizona and Florida approved measures to add traditional marriage to their constitutions in the November elections. But where same sex marriage is legal, e.g., in Massachusetts...read the details -- parents and students now have no choice in Massachusetts, except to endure indoctrination in one "approved" yet deviant viewpoint.
Fascism directed at childhood learning comes with legalization of homosexual lifestyles. Children will learn early that when they grow up, they can 'marry' boys or girls..... because they may be 'born gay' and not realize it yet. How misleading, uninformed and sad!
One Elkhorn, Wisconsin teacher has taken it upon herself to re-educate 11th graders by "Exposing Hidden Homophobia," as she named her 37-day unit. She used materials from far-left group Teaching Tolerance.
And the San Francisco Unified School District has erected a web page solely directed at "supporting" students who are involved in or considering homosexuality or changing genders! And--parents do NOT need to be notified, says SFUSD. It's a privacy issue for kids. So third graders can begin cross-dressing and re-naming themselves during the school day, and the school will support this without contacting Mom or Dad. This is child corruption.
Parents no longer have the right to teach their children homosexuality is wrong and to expect schools to respect their beliefs. The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear a case of 'gay' school indoctrination originating in Lexington, Massachusetts. The case involves the David Parker family and another couple, who were prevented from removing their elementary age children from lessons where kids were taught that homosexual couples are normal. Parents have no rights and must allow their children to learn this material, according to a lower court, now upheld by the highest court in the land. How did this agenda ever get this far?

Bullying is cruel and unnecessary. All schools can stop actions by bullies--now! Schools already have the regulations to do this (they just have to care more about kids than their school performance statistics). But.. because some schools are negligent in solving this problem, into this vacuum step the ever-ready social experimenters.
Anti-Bullying policies are becoming tools of 'gay' extremists targeting children.
A bill has been introduced in Congress called the "Safe Schools Improvement Act," H.R. 2262, to add anti-bullying requirements to the Safe and Drug Free Schools Act. Sounds good right? Who could object? Well, not only does the federal government NOT need to be dictating to local schools their radical left-wing agendas, perhaps you will be concerned once you find out that this bill gives special emphasis to bullying based on the "sexual orientation" or "gender identity" of students. Why not just punish bullying no matter what the cause? Because that's not the purpose of this bill!
This bill and others like them in many states are back-door ways to introduce flagrantly discriminatory and deviant pro-homosexual programs to re-train both students and teachers with one and only one way to think--you must embrace homosexuality and gender change (even among little grade schoolers) or you are a horrible meanie who probably loves violence and bullying!! In fact, YOU will be viewed with suspicion and contempt, as a contributor to a "climate of hate," even if you support traditional marriage. Christians are especially under the microscope if you believe that homosexuality is deviant and unnatural, as Scripture clearly explains.
